Dover Cycling forum this weds 16th March 7pm

You are invited to the second open DOVER & DISTRICT CYCLE FORUM meeting this coming  Wednesday 16th March.

Our interesting and well attended first meeting led to lots of 
practical action towards promoting cycling in our district (see agenda 
item 3 below).

We'll meet again in the Map Room at the Royal Hotel on Deal seafront, 
this time starting later at 7.00pm and finishing no later than 9.00pm

This time it will be a working meeting around the table, rather than a 
general discussion.

3. Progress on cycle routes:

(a) Report on Local Sustainable Transport Scheme bid submitted by 
Dover District Council (Cllr Nigel Collor, DDC Cabinet member)

(b) Progress on River Dour Greenway Project and discussion of 
possible linking routes to the port and station (Steve Darling, Kent 
Highways)
(c)  Possible cycle routes between Deal and Fowlmead - results of 
discussions with Sholden Parish Council

4. Maintenance issues
(NOTE: individual matters should be reported through the usual Kent 
Highways channels)

5. News exchange

6.  Events to encourage cycling:
- Big Wheel of Kent
- invitation from St Omer

7. Future meetings of the Cycle Forum:
- adoption of constitution (draft to be circulated)
- arrangements for election of chairman and secretary
- date, time. place and agenda for next meeting
